Of weddings and whatnots!

Since November till today, I’ve been to 4 weddings, so that means its an average of one wedding per month. Have already invites to 2 more in June and November. I know I am already at that age where my peers are all getting hitched one by one. One question that is constantly bombarded to me is “ So, when is it your turn?” or  “So, got boyfriend or not?” by relatives and friends of parents (sometimes I am also guilty of asking that questions to friends).  Although I don’t really care and most of the time my answer would be “Aiyah, chill la!” or “too many to choose from.” or “ Wah, you think so easy ah, tomorrow I go shopping la”, it really makes me wonder about it. Maybe you think I am worried or desperate, since I am writing about this now, but in actual fact I don’t think about it like OMG, I am getting older and need to get married now. I know everyone says now is the best time to get married as you wouldn’t want to wait too long to start having a family and all that biological clock blabbers you get. But am I ready for such things?

I still question it all the time whenever someone tells me that they are getting married. I am very happy for them and get all excited for their wedding, but when I put myself in their shoe and get a little shiver down my spine. It’s not like I am a person who doesn’t not believe in marriage,  I DO! but I guess for me it ONE BIG HUGE ASS step in life that I rather not make a mistake. I know I think too much when it comes to relationships and close friends of mine think I’m to analytical with it. People say that’s a flaw as it makes me very very guarded with my feelings. They tell me that I think too much, which have come to realize that I do. One of my many flaws I guess.

However this flaw of mine is something that makes me wonder. What has happened to me to make me the way I am? I feel that I am a very emotional person, I cry at weddings, I cry when I watch Oprah, I cry at the tiniest things – cry baby is my nickname. I cry and get all chocked up at romantic movies and romantic gestures, yet when it comes to my own relationships I become this over analytical person. I haven’t experienced horrible heartbreaks and yet so guarded like everyone is out there to get me! Yes, I am strange!

Anyway, I hope that this flaw of mine doesn’t make me into this bitter person who despises relationships and end up a horrible spinster that everyone loves to hate. Smile with tongue out

Damn emo right this post? Ish……Cannot like this…so here is something for you to laugh about!

A little Break

2 papers down and 3 more to go!!!

Thankfully my next paper is next friday, so I've got some time to prepare for this paper, for this is the most unprepared paper...

I really hope everything goes well!! Do pray for me! Thank you!

Besides the exam, things has been rather slow. I guess exams do drain the energy out of everything else... that is why i really can't wait for the exams to be over!! My last paper will be on the 30th of May and that night itself would be graduation night. I know you guys would be wondering why graduation night is so soon, even when we dont even know if we have graduated or not! I guess its just one night for people who have sat for exams to dress and up and let their hair down again! Thankfully we dont have any papers after that, cuz i have the feeling some of them still have papers after graduation night. I really hope the response to this graduation ball would be good!! PARTY!!!

I've suddenly lost my train of thought and just ran out what to say!

I guess i'll just come back another time when i get my mind flowing again!

oh ya, today while i was watching America's Next Top Model on Youtube, this quote really got me laughing :

" that is why they call it cover girl, to COVER UP THE MAN IN YOU!" (I'm not sure if you will find it funny or not, but they were critisizing how this one model can look kinda tranny sometimes.....:P

Hahah...go watch it and laugh!

Me: Jia Wen, this is your chinese name - "Huang Jia Wen" (showing her on a piece of paper in chinese character
Jia Wen: No lar, I'm not Huang Jia Wen, I'm Ooi Jia Wen
Me: Yes, but this is how you say it in chinese
Jia Wen: No lar, I'm Ooi Jia Wen!!! I'm not YELLOW, I'm skin colour!

All I could do was LAUGH!!!!

Me and my Girls!

Last week, i went out for a catch-up session with my buddies, Era and Janu

We decided to splurge on food this time because everytime when we go out, we are on a budget and always end up in the food court. And since we were all famished, we headed to chili's!!!

Each of us order different stuff on the menu so that we could nibble on each others yummy food!!!

I ordered a ceaser salad, Era ordered pasta, and Janu ordered "Triple play"... so we had a variety of things to choose from!

Something amazing happened during lunch!!!

Era ate my salad!!!!!!!!

Era is an anti-vege eater, this means that she doesn't eat vege at all! She's very fussy when it comes to food, anyone close to her would agree on me with that la....

So, you ask me how did she even try to eat it? I kinda forced it on her!!!! i put some of my salad onto her plate of pasta and told her to eat it.... she hesitated at first but ate it anyway....and her reaction was "hey, that actually tasted good" and she took some more salad from me....isn't that great??? Jan, we converted her....now we just have to make her it more vege!!!

After that enormous heavy lunch, we walked around and did some shopping. All the shops were packed with people and it was impossible to queue up for the changing rooms!!! Anyhow, we managed to buy something for ourselves and were quite contented!!!

Here's more pictures (we forgot to take pictures the whole day we were together, until we were in the car on the way back to the KL sentral...:P):

Colour Pencils

Today, while I was doing my time-table for class, I decided to colour it to make it a little bit more interesting than just one piece of white paper. And with that I took out my colour pencils

My colour pencils are stored in a small pencil case. They are a collection of colour pencils ever since god knows when! Seriously, they are inherited from my sister, my brother and some of my own. The pencils are used till it is so short that at the site of it, you’ll laugh you heads off! If I showed my collection to a small kid like my niece, I’m quite sure that she will tell me that hers is a lot better.

All these colour pencils are at least 10 years old and since that I don’t use them as often as I used to when I was a kid, so it is no point getting one whole new set again. I’m sure I have so many colours that I can compete with those 46 colour pencil set!

Behold!

Look what's inside!

My whole set of colouring pencils

The shortest of them all...

Samamengmengyo!

You guys must be wondering what the heck is that word, right??

At first, we all were thinking the same....It's a word that my niece, Jia Wen created today. The whole day, she went on "Samamengmengyo! Samamengmengyo!"

So we asked her what it meant. At first, she wanted to play with my mum, so she said that it meant "play with her". Then when her father disturbed her, she shouted "samamengmengyo! samamengmengyo!".. so now it meant "don't disturb me"..

Later in the afternoon, after I came back from class, she wanted me to keep her toys so she went on "samamengmengyo!samamengmengyo!". So I ask her "what does "samamengmengyo" mean?"...and she reply "keep"

Its hilarious to see that she uses it to her conveniece!

Samamengmengyo to all of you!!! (it's up to you what the word means!)

Have a wonderful samamengmengyo, spend it with those you love and samamengmengyo!
