Finally got the mood and the time to BLOG!!
...and so where shall i start???
Okay... I didn't tell any of you guys that i was going on a family holiday right? so okay, i did....
My family and I went to Langkawi for a short weekend. It was such a relaxing and fun holiday.... and it was damn "lau juak" because not only was it my family who went, my aunts also went!!!
Didn't really do any site seeing cuz i mean we've been there and so it was more of relaxing holiday.. the only touristy stuff that we did was going on the cable car which was worth the money... The view was amazing eventhough the stupid haze had to spoil everything... The cable car went up so high that when we reached the peak, you could feel the cool breeze just brushing through your skin and make you go "ahhhh"...
Went to the beach couple of times "trying to get a tan" as i like to put it...but it wasn't sunny enough... i usually like to get tanned up and have my swimsuit pattern imprinted on my back... but that didn't happen.:(
Well, it was a short but fun trip and should do more of it..family holidays are just so refreshing!!!
So...came back from Langkawi on Saturday... rushed back to College for the MAPCU (Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and Universities) Swimming Competition... was asked to join but since i was going to Langkawi..i said no...but they were kinda desperate so they said that if i manage to come back in time, i should try to make it for the 50m Freestyle relay. I was in time so swam that one event and got 3rd place....cuz there was only 3 teams!!! is that a joke or what?? well, good enough for me since i am not a competitive swimmer like the other swimmers from other colleges. Anyhow, got a medal and a t-shirt out of it one event.....so i'm not complaining or anything like that.
And since that weekend, its been hectic with studies, catching up with all the journals and assignments that i missed during my holiday.. and also to study for the test which i badly needed to score (since my 1st test was like shit).
Finally yesterday, all of us manage to relax. We finished class early and decided to go Midvalley Megamall (we wanted to go today but since we finished class early, why not)... Took the taxi down all the way to Midvalley and at lunch straight away since it our tummies were already an orchestra... So had lunch at Secret Recipe which was good....yummy.....i had my prawn macaroni with cheese....
After lunch, headed to the cinema to see what movie to watch...and decided on Rob-B-Hood. One thing good about coming in the afternoons on weekdays is the ticket price. We manage to get student price which was only RM6! Cheap!! Well, as you would expect out of a Jackie Chan movie, fighting and comedy. Its not a life altering movie, but it is a movie that lets you unwind a stressful week!! It was FUNNY....you should see how Lenz and I laugh... haiyo.. "I am from broke back mountain"..
So now, i'm sitting here... just trying to chill for the weekend....but i have a lot of things to do...i've got to clean my room and the whole house... my sister is in Malacca at the moment and when she left this morning, she left me a list of chores for me to do. Half of it is done, the other half i'll do it tomorrow....
Things to do tomorrow:
Sweep and Mop the floor
Vacuum the carpet
Wash the bathrooms
Finish up my homework!!!

Movie Date
Woke up and got ready for my day out with William again!!!
Reached Megamall at about 11.30am and searched for William in MPH...was so hungry but had to queue up for the damn ATM machine to get some "ka-ching"...
After that, went to collect tickets for movie that i had booked online, "Zoom" starring Tim Allen and Courtney Cox...but then when i saw that "You, Me and Dupree" was available (it wasn't available online)...Ditched that "Zoom" went on to buy tickets for "You, Me and Dupree". We got good seats, and we had more than enough time to get our tummies stuffed up before the movie...
William suggested to eat at Piccolo Mondo, Italian food. So headed there with our tummies producing all kinds of symphony. Ordered and the food came quite fast (which was a good thing), and the portion was quite big too (better still). My pasta was SOOOO GOOD, that i ate my whole plate...William was even suprised that i was able to finish up everything.....well...i'm a pig...so....no suprise that lar!!
After lunch, we still had time to kill before the movie, so went around to get some stuff...William browsed through guitar shops...he was in love......i know he'd totally be jumping for joy if he could carry one home!!!
Watched "You, Me and Dupree". Overall, not to bad a movie. Knowing Owen Wilson, you know what to expect, comedy as usual... It had a nice ending...Didn't cry comparing to "Click"!!:P
Totally pooped out right now...dunno why i'm so tired..suppose to be studying and doing my assignments but then i feel so tired and sleepy....i think it must the sore throat and blocked nose i have that is making feel so bleh.....GO AWAY!!!
Anyhow....it was a fun day lar....Good food, good company, good movie....
I'm a satisfied chick with blocked nose! Isn't that sexy or what?

Weekend is here!!!!!
Its been quite a busy week and so glad that the weekend is here.....

I want to crawl into a hole NOW!
Sat for my Biochemistry test couple of hours ago.
Verdict: DOOM!! I seriously didnt know how to do a single shit! all the answers i gave was confused answers....none was i confident!!!
It was so bad that in the middle of the test......tears started rolling down....this was how bad it was..i have never cried in the middle of an exam before...i felt so hopeless.....
the time spent studying last night...and waking up an hour earlier to read through again this morning all just went out the window.....
Feel like crap right now... i miss my mummy so bad!!!!

Biochemistry...
Today, the amount of time i spent in the Biochemisty lab was more than the amount of sleep that i had last night!!!
Usually, our lab sessions are 5 hours, kinda used to it already... BUT today...we spent 8 hours in the freaking lab!!! Even the class that we were suppose to have at 2pm was cancelled and was substituted by that lab....and the only break i had was my maggi mee lunch for about 20 minutes....
What were we doing, you might want to ask???
Purifying Lactate Dehydrogenase(LDH) by Affinity Chromatography...
let me put it in easier terms.....we cincang cincang the liver, then spin it down in the centrifuge(tu... that one you see in CSI), then run it through this thing so then it becomes more pure....to get that LDH.....
sigh....
If lab sessions are going to be this long...i might as well bring my blanket and pillow....since the lab is so cold and nice!

Tired!!!
FINALLY.....after 3 semesters of training and hardwork (or maybe hardwork within this couple of weeks ;P)....i PASS my lifeguard exam!!!!!!!
What we did to pass the exam:
I think thats it right??? hahahaha.......all i know i pass everything.....and i'm so glad that its over!!!!
YAHOO!!!!
What we did to pass the exam:
- 100m in 1 min and 40 sec (did it in 1 min and 39 sec....phew...just in time)
- 300m in 10 min (did it a little bit more than 6 minutes)
- Rope tow in 3 minutes (swim 50m and tow a person 50m)
- Save a victim with a rope (victim in the middle of the pool, throw out the rope and pull victim in)
- Dive 20+m in one breath
- Struggle tow (victims struggle as you tow)
- Rescue unconcious victim (perform breathing technique as you tow the victim)
- Release (victim grabs on you, have to pull free)
- Rescue with clothing on
- Rescue victim with rope within arms length
- Q and A season
I think thats it right??? hahahaha.......all i know i pass everything.....and i'm so glad that its over!!!!

Final Fun before the new semester begins..
As you already know, Cynthia came down and stayed with me a couple of nights... lots of catching up to do and stuff that girls do during sleepovers.
Cynthia arrived in the evening on Wednesday and so did my sis' friend Dewi....Had wonderful pasta for dinner as we girls gossipped about every tom dick and harry...hahahaha....
Went to IKANO, IKEA and The Curve on Thursday for the whole day....literally.....arrived there at about 10am and left there about 7pm? nice nice.....almost bought a bikini for Langkawi's trip in October....but that fella who was selling it was being damn stupid!!!!
Met up with Matt on Friday at Megamall...it wasn't planned, although we knew that he was coming down...wasn't sure that he was free or not....so hung out with her for a couple of hours and then my brother picked me up to go to my cousin's place where i was for the whole weekend....
Was at my cousin's house with her daughter, Jade and my other niece Te-Sha and the maid...my cousin and her husband went to Perth for holiday...so kinda hung with the kids......had fun swimming with them at around 11pm?? till about 12 something....(my cousin's place has a pool)
On Saturday, met up with Cyn and Janu...It was fun cuz Janu hasn't seen Cyn since we left Form 5!!! Amazing right??? Had lunch in Megamall and then decided to go see Era at the JomHeboh! at Bukit Jalil...Usually if you ask me...i wont go to these kinda places....cuz its HOT and packed with ppl who terlampau SYOK walking under the HOT sun!!!!! So Era, if you are reading this.....see how we sacrificed the aircon in megamall to come visit you in the hot sun????? (just kidding)
While we were there, all of a sudden, Cyn started shouting "Mazlina, Effa!!"...We bumped into our St. Anne classmates.....it was great seeing them as it has been a while since we last saw them!!! Still the same old them i guess....
We couldn't stand the heat so decided to leave the place and we headed to Janu's place to chill instead... it was so nice just to sit and chill lar...another round of gossipping again lar...what else????
My bro picked my up again and sent me to my cousin's house and again...THANKS BRO!!!!
Just got back today and really tired...i guess its just the thought that tomorrow my classes for the new semester will start!!!!
Talking about that....Last semester's results are already out and i got
A- for my Genetics and Computing
B+ for my Biochemistry
B- for my Management.....:(
and oh ya....i've got only 1 subject(biochemistry 2)this semester!!!!! coolios!!!!
sigh.....the holiday is over!!!

Cynthia's visit!
Haven't seen Cynthia for more than a year and when she said that she was coming to visit me, i was so happy!!!!
She spent 2 nights with me and the nights were so nice as we lie on the bed chit chatting about everything, going back to high school....wishing we were back there again.
i'll update you guys more about what we did and stuff later....i'm not in Nilai right now and am in my cousin's place in PJ area.... spending the weekend before class starts again on Monday!!!
