Things that has been happening……

……since I came back from the UK:

I know that I have been promising to do a proper blog but have since failed. Now I shall attempt to..

I came back just in time for CNY which was the plan so that I could catch up with the whole family! I definitely managed to meet up with everyone.

After Chinese New Year, I went back to ol’ Labuan for a month. Although there was nothing to do there, I was out almost every night till 2am catching up with old friends. We would end up almost always at the same place every night just yakking till the morning. I guess having been away for more that 2 years, there was a lot of catch up with everyone.

After a month in Labuan, my parents and I came back to KL for Cheng Beng (chinese old souls day). While transiting in KL for a couple of days, I managed to go for my first interview with a pharmaceutical company, which I got offered and turned down (which I hope I don’t regret later). Cheng Beng was back in Alor Setar, Kedah, where my parents are from . This was the first time that I have been back for Cheng Beng, so it was all new for me. How there is so much food to bring to the graveyard as offering. We also burn paper shirts, shoes too! It is also like a massive reunion where you meet relatives who you share the same great-grandparents, relatives that I have not met before and would not recognise even they were staring at me in a middle of town. It really makes me realise that my family is actually very very big, both my dad’s and mom’s side are equally quite big.

After coming back to Alor Setar, I started work with my cousin at her activity centre and that is what has gotten me occupied this whole while. I have now worked with her for almost 3 months now and time has definitely flown! I’m working part time for my cousin while something else comes up is better than sitting on my bum applying for jobs, which I know that it might take a while before getting a job, as a few of my friends who came back last year only managed to get a job recently. I know that it takes a while. I am happy that I am able to gain experience as I wait.  You never know that I might find my calling while doing this. I know that I am a coward when it comes to job hunting. I’m always scared that I might make the wrong decision jumping into a job that I would end up regretting! I know that I am still young and I should be experimenting with jobs, finding my true calling, but on the other hand, I am scared! Like I feel that its gamble to choose a job, even if you know that maybe something better would come along. I guess all I need to do is to jump into in, mistakes are meant to be made to make you learn right???? Hopefully, with the mistakes made, I would find my true calling * imagining a light coming from above with a path to the most amazing job/career!

I have been catching up with my babes almost every week. Now that I am back, Janu is leaving for her studies in India in 2 days, Nana and Hsei Di is also leaving next week. Sad! Will definitely miss them!!! At least I managed to hang out with everyone before they leave! These are the friends who I grew up with and even now, graduated and working, I feel that we are still close and I really appreciate friends who know me best! I’ve known Hsei Di since I was 8 ( that’s 17 years!!) and the girls since I was 13 (12 years!!). Having friendships that long, make you feel kinda old huh??

Anyway, do enjoy the random photos taken since coming back. For those who read my blog back in the   UK. I miss you guys dearly, and I really hope to go back there soon! Somehow, it feels like home as well, even though I was there for only 2 and a half years, I feel that it was a big part of my life. The friends I’ve made and the experience that I have gained makes me wanna go back there. Having had lived there before, I feel that the possibility of going back there seems ever possible and I am keeping my options open. Maybe you’ll find me back there soon?? :P

Oh ya, my sister and family are coming back soon and I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!

A night of Dance!

Last saturday, we decided to enjoy the night out!! So off to BluBambu for a night of dance!! Before that we had a little detour, took pics by the bridge!!

Have been in PJ for a week house-sitting my cousin’s house. At the end of the week, I had made plans with my girlfriends for the weekend. Met up with the girls late on Friday night and we had our dinner/supper (at 12 midnight) at Itallianies at The Curve. Food was good and even though we were hungry, the food was a lot! Era and Janu got me cupcakes and they were soooo nice! Decorated with rainbows and hearts, it really reflects the feeling I have when I hang out with the girls.

Actually we decided to go to Sunway Lagoon on Saturday;, however, we didn’t go due to the laziness of getting up early, the cloudiness in the sky. So, we stayed in at Janu’s place, called for McD’s and Pizza Hut. It was nice to stay in; at least Janu was able to get some of her work done before going out for the night. Since we decided not to go Sunway Lagoon, we decided to go clubbing instead.

We didn’t exactly decide where to go clubbing with but we knew that we were going to Heritage Row in KL, since Janu’s brother was heading that way too. When we reached there, it was still early (9.30 for clubbing standard is VERY early!) and tagged along Janu’s brother, Satish in to Bar Savahn since he was meeting his friends there.

Once there, we got stuck there. Too lazy to go find some other club and since we already had a table to ourselves, we decided to stay on. People started to come in about 10.30/11 pm and the music was getting there. Satish’s friends arrived and he asked us to stay on cuz he wasn’t going to let us girls be alone, knowing that there were some weird guys around. We didn’t feel too great crashing Satish’s friend’s party (bachelorette party) but we just stood at the bar which was not too far from where he could keep his eyes on us kids( hahaha....he still think we are 14 years old dancing to Britney Spears)

The night was young and it was going to be a really great night. With great music in the air and with my girlfriends, I was having tonnes of fun! Danced the whole night through even though being bugged by a few unwanted guys. There was this old guy who was trying to hit on Janu and it was totally grossed. That fella already had a girl with him but I guess he was being greedy and wanted more. Then came 2 younger guys, there were not too bad...since they complimented how Era and I danced and even thought that Era was a Chinese. He said that usually Chinese don’t really dance and they don’t get the beat. I told him “don’t worry, I’ve got the beat”...Hahaha
Funny things happened that night, but I don’t want to announced it to the world, so those who were there that night (Era, Janu and Satish), you know what happened ya? I know Janu will be teased by Satish for another week huh?? By the way, thanks Satish for so called baby-sitting us for the night, we felt safe with you around!

Woke up the next day (Sunday) at 12, had lunch and we went our separate ways. This weekend was supposed to be my farewell weekend, but we are thinking of another weekend together. Can’t imagine one year without my girls lar!!!!

You girls mean a lot of me, and I totally mean it! I appreciate our friendship and I hope that when we are all wrinkled-up , in our 70’s we are all still this tight!

ROCK ON!!!

Great Night!

Yesterday I finished my last paper feeling really happy, so happy that i was smiling handing my answer booklet to my lecturer... I was so glad that I was done with my second year and also glad that my exams are over. However, walkling out of the examination hall and talking to my friends was really sad, cuz now all of us will be splitting ways....was in the verge of tears but strong enough to not cry! wakakaka...its really bitter-sweet!

Enough with exams, later in the evening a few of us headed to KL to have hell of a night! However, it started with getting stuck in the jam, reached KLCC only after being 2 hours in the car....my butt was flat and numb after coming out of the car. Not only was my butt numb, my tummy was damn hungry...i tell you, everyone in the car was so hungry that we were grumbling the whole way in the jam!!

Thanks to Kingsley, being punctual and all, he managed to get a place in Chili's for us despite the long long cue... However, we were damn pissed when we got sitted, because there were these guai lan guai lou who cut que and took our sits!! i tell you, all of us were damn pissed lar, you could see the change in Kingsley's face... that guy just went pass the girl-in-charge and just sat in our sits lar. Damn pissed lar. Even the girl in charge could move him... I tell you.... we were trying our best to sabotage that table lar....telling the waiter not to serve them first, telling the waiter to bring our food first.... ahahahah....and another annoying thing was that they were blooddy LOUD......laughing like they were the only ones there!! But when our food came, we just forgot about those lame ol' people and had the most fun!!

makan makan, yak yak yak.....sampai 11 o'clock, and started to head to ZOUK for a night of party. However, when we reached there, one of my friend couldnt get in cuz she was underage. Not that i wanted to smuggle in an under-aged girl, but i didn't know that she was only 20. I thought everyone of us was 21 and above.. So got my brother to get us in another club called the Maison. Since it was for 18 and above, all of us could get in without a problem lar.

The music there was great, DJ JOEY G was spinning that night (my brother didnt tell me, so i didnt expect lar). and then while i was dancing on the podium, i saw my brother up there at the DJ console. Sekali, i see my brother spinning away!! It was so cool!!!! the music was AMAZING!!! House music is really cool!! DJ Joey G and DJ Victor G sure rocked the house to the max lar!!! and addition to that, DJ Joey G is damn HOT!!! he's so cute! hahahaha.....Lenz and I really partied out hearts out and when DJ Joey G shouted " i wanna make a shout out to Szue May and her Inti college crew!!!!!" or somthing like that.......IT WAS ON man!!!! Partied and danced till there was no tomorrow!!! wakakakaka....it was fun until my friend wenying who's never clubbed before was dancing on the dance floor!!!!

Partied till the lights came on and it was closing time! so fun, we even managed to snaps some pics with Joey G! nice nice nice!!!!! He's so cute!!!! will upload the pics once i get them from Beesuan!


Reached INTI at around 5 something and by the time i touch the bed was already 6 something....and slept the WHOLE DAY!!!
