Genius!

This thing is amazing. Turn your sound on & click on the link below - then come back and read the commentary under the website below. Enjoy!!!

SEE THE VIDEO CLIP THEN READ THE MESSAGE BELOW

We are told that there are no computer graphics or digital tricks in the film. Everything you see really happened in real time exactly as you see it. The film took 606 takes. On the first 605 takes, something, usually very minor, didn't work.

They would then have to set the whole thing up again. The crew spent weeks shooting night and day. By the time it w as over, they were ready to change professions. The film cost six million dollars and took three months to complete including full engineering of the sequence.

In addition, it's two minutes long so every time Honda airs the film on British television, they're shelling out enough dough to keep any one of us in clover for a lifetime. However, it is fast becoming the most downloaded advertisement in Internet history. Honda executives figure the ad will soon pay for itself simply in "free" viewings (Honda isn't paying a dime to have you watch this commercial!). When the ad was pitched to senior executives, they signed off on it immediately without any hesitation - including the costs.

There are six and only six hand-made Accords in the world. To the horror of Honda engineers, the filmmakers disassembled two of them to make the film.

Everything you see in the film (aside from the walls, floor, ramp, and complete Honda Accord) are parts from those two cars. The voiceover is Garrison Keillor. When the ad was shown to Honda executives, they liked it and commented on how amazing computer graphics have gotten. They fell off their chairs when they found out it was for real. Oh, and about those funky windshield wipers on the new Accords, the windshield wipers have water sensors and are designed to start doing their thing automatically as soon as they become wet. It looks a bit weird in the commercial.

It's almost New Year's Day .... Keep warm....(to friends who are experiencing winter)

It was October and the Indians on a remote reservation asked their new
Chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.Since he was a
Chief in a modern society he had never been taught the old secrets.
When he looked at the sky he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be
like. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side he told his tribe that the
winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village
should collect firewood to be prepared.

But being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to
the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, "Is the
coming winter going to be cold?"

"It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold," the meteorologist at
the weather service responded.

So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more
firewood in order to be prepared.

A week later he called the National Weather Service again. "Does it still
look like it is going to be a very cold winter?"

"Yes," the man at National Weather Service again replied, "it's going to be
a very cold winter."

The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every
scrap of firewood they could find.

Two weeks later the Chief called the National Weather Service again.
"Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?"

"Absolutely," the man replied. "It's looking more and more like it is going
to be one of the coldest winters ever."

"How can you be so sure?" the Chief asked.

The weatherman replied, "The Indians are collecting firewood like crazy."

If you watch the images from your seat in front of the computer, Mr.Angry is on the left, and Mrs.Calm is on the right.
Get up from your seat, and move back 12 feet, and PRESTO!! they switch places!!
This proves that we may not be seeing what's actually there, all the time!!

Back from Winter school...although we dont have winter here..

Just came back from Baha'i Winter School (they call it winter cuz its end of the year...its still freaking HOT). Had a blast there...met some old friends and made tonnes of new friends too....

It started on 15th night, nothing really happened that night. Just welcoming speech and all that kinda thing when things starts.

The second day, everything started to get really nice and all..even the talks was interesting or should i say that the speakers were funny. So it wasnt a drag sitting down listening as i always do..hhahah.

The best was last night....we had so much of fun. A new friend from Namibia who is really good at dancing help us come up with a hip hop dance in 2 hours for the social night. It was fun and cool, although some people didnt agree with us.......kinda dissapointed at that lar...but anyways....we had fun and thats whats its all about...:P

After the social night, we all hung out, eat and hung out some more until about 4!!!!! was already freaking tired and by the time i went to the room....i was flat...and woke up 9.30 this morning..so tired still....

well..all in all, it was fun!!! looking forward to the next one... and hope to see all the friends again...in fact, the friends have planned to meet up in KLCC tomorrow...still have to confirm with Nur'i and see whether i rajin wanna go lar.

Back From Penang

As you can see from the pictures that i have posted, i was in Penang for a wedding during the weekend. Attended our family friends wedding, Fern's was my neighbour when i was in miri, and she used to give me tuition for my chinese (since i'm very poor in my chinese). She is also a very artsy person. She made tonnes of cute little stuff for me like paper bags and bookmarks.

The night of the dinner was the first time i saw her (her sister and brother too) after i left miri, which was like hmmm about 9 years ago. When i was in Miri, i was still in primary school and they were shocked to see me. Fern's brother, Ching Lung saw me and he was like " Ah May ah??? wah..so big already" Until now, sometimes when i meet up with our childhood friends, they still treat me like a baby...."i still think you are a kid"

Now everyone is on their own path, seeing everyone once in a while to catch up is really nice. Like for Fern, she is now in Colorado, USA, Ching Lung is a doctor and their youngest sister is in her final year studying to be a doctor...WOW...things have really changed!!!

I wonder who among our family friends will get married next, and hopefully another reunion. hahahaha....and get another comment like this .." OMG, the last time i saw you...you were still in diapers!!!"

Anyhow...i'm back from penang, arrived yesterday. It was a fast trip back( took about 3++ hours)...tapau-ed dinner home from PJ at the pasar malam. came home, had dinner and rested!!!!

but i dont mind resting again......tsk tsk tsk......see ya...buhbye.....zzzzzz....mmmmm
